Whether you’ve purchased one of our blankets or bath bundles, you probably noticed that there was a certification label on the tag. So, what does it mean?
From the very beginning, we’ve made it our mission to ensure that all our materials and methods meet the highest standards of sustainability. That’s why we partner with our factories and suppliers to guarantee our products are environmentally certified. Here’s a quick rundown on our certifications:
What is GOTS®?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (better known as GOTS®) is the leading worldwide standard for organic textiles. To be GOTS® certified, a product must be made from at least 70% certified organic fibers. Organic fibers are raw plant materials turned directly into fabric without the use of harmful chemicals or pesticides.
One step further, the GOTS® certification guarantees that each stage of the production process meets strict environmental and social criteria. This means you can enjoy items that are safe for you and the people that make them. Learn more about the GOTS organization here.
What is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100?
We’re proud to say that all our products are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. But what does that mean? It’s a globally recognized benchmark for ensuring that textiles are completely free from harmful substances. For a product to be OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, every component, down to the button on a duvet cover, must be tested for harmful chemicals and guaranteed safe for human use. What is OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN?
The OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN certification is a comprehensive label that ensures textiles are safe, environmentally friendly, and ethically produced. When a product is OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN certified, it means that it is fully traceable and has been tested for harmful substances. Even more, it guarantees that it was manufactured using sustainable practices in socially responsible working conditions. Learn more about OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN here.
What is GRS?
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a leading standard for verifying the recycled content of products. When a product is GRS certified, it means that the materials used are recycled, traceable, and produced in compliance with strict environmental and social criteria. By choosing our products with GRS certified fill, you’re supporting recycling initiatives, reducing waste, and promoting ethical manufacturing practices. Learn more about GRS here.
How Do I Know What Products are Certified?
We’ve made it our goal to make it as easy as possible. You can find each product’s sustainability certifications listed under the details section on the product page. If you already have products at home, simply check the care tag for the certification labels.
What’s the Bottom Line?
From sheet sets to loungewear, you can rest assured that our products are made with non-toxic materials that are safe for you, your home and our planet.
