Do you ever want to freshen up your bedroom but don't want to invest in a whole new bedding set? A duvet gives you the ability to introduce new colors and textures into your space with the simple switch of a cover.

So, What is a Duvet?

A duvet is a comforter-like layer that is inserted into a duvet cover – think of it like a pillow in a pillowcase. Our duvet covers feature inner corner ties that hold the duvet insert in place and prevent it from moving around. All our covers are fastened with hidden buttons for a clean, modern look.

How to Choose the Right Duvet Cover for You

It's no secret that our bedding is sustainably made with non-toxic materials and low-impact dyes. However, just like any other layer, it’s important to choose a duvet cover in a material that suits your sleeping style.

If you sleep on the warmer side, we recommend our light, breathable Linen Eucalyptus Duvet Cover or our crisp, cool Organic Percale Duvet Cover. Similarly, our Organic Washed Cotton Duvet Cover has the same crisp features as our classic Percale, but is garment washed for a more relaxed, lived-in feel.

If you tend to get chilly at night, our Organic Sateen Duvet Cover is buttery soft and warm-to-the-touch. If you like a little texture, our Crinkle Matelasse Duvet is woven for a gently quilted, gauzy effect.

How to Style Your Duvet Set

With plenty of duvet cover options available, it’s easy to freshen up your bedding for each season. We like to take it one step further by adding on a blanket for another layer of depth. Our Organic Brushed Cotton Blanket features a subtle, soft texture for a light and cozy layer. As we head into the colder months, our Organic Cotton & Wool Throw is a great way to add a little warmth to your space.

Tips & Tricks for Putting on a Duvet Cover

While putting on a duvet cover can feel like a daunting task, it doesn’t have to be! Here are a few tips to make it easy:

  • Make sure your duvet cover is flat and wrinkle-free at all times. This will help keep things smooth as you insert the duvet itself.

  • Start by turning your duvet cover inside out with the opening at the bottom. This allows you to lay your duvet insert directly on top of it while lining up the corners. Now, you can use the corner ties to easily attach the cover to the insert.

  • Once everything is attached, it’s time to turn it right-side out. The key is to roll both the insert and cover down to the end of your bed so that you can flip them right-side out at the same time.

  • After you roll it out, the last step is to button it all up!
